For my Drawing & Rendering course, I was required to draw one facial self-portrait a day for 21 days, as well as to create a 18"x24" full-body self-portrait in costume. I decided to use humor throughout this project, choosing unconventional facial expressions for the facial portraits and a goofy 1980s glamour shot aesthetic for the large drawing.
I used a combination of graphite pencils, charcoal pencils, and stick charcoal for the 21 portraits, while the large portrait was completed entirely with graphite pencil.

Additional Drawings
Drawings created during the project duration separate from the main assignment, here because I like them very much. (The chair is not me.)
Overall, I enjoyed this project, although I do not think I can look at my own face the same way again. I hope to further develop my portrait skills for other faces.
